Photo – used as an avatar to personalize sessions.

Name – used to recognize users across sessions.

Skills mastered / Skills to learn – form part of the user profile and development path.

Level – reflects the user’s current skill proficiency.

Objectives / Goals – helps tailor learning journeys.

Occupation – used to contextualize the user's experience.

Industry – may help infer user’s professional context.

Interests – preference data used to improve recommendations.

Preferred duration / frequency – used for scheduling optimization.

Time zone – allows relevant session planning.

Session history – used for analytics and user feedback.


3. How We Collect Data

Data is collected in three ways:

- Provided by users directly upon account creation or while using the platform.

- Provided by client companies for managed users.

- Inferred from user behavior, tests, or interactions with the platform (e.g., Braincore).


4. Purpose of Data Processing

We process personal data to deliver tailored peer-learning experiences, improve matching, track learning progress, and offer analytical insights to our users and clients.


5. Legal Basis for Processing

Consent – for data submitted by users.

Contract – for services delivered to clients.

Legitimate interest – to improve the platform and support users.


6.  Third-Party Data Processors

Kuno may share necessary data with these providers under strict data protection agreements:

- AWS (hosting – EU)

- GetStream (chat infrastructure)

- Braincore (skill diagnostics)

- Stripe (payment processing)

- PostHog (analytics)


7. Data Storage and Transfers

Data is stored on AWS servers located in the European Union.

Certain subprocessors (e.g., Stripe, Deel) may process data outside the EU with Standard

Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in place.


8. Data Retention

Inactive user data is retained for a maximum of 2 years.

Session logs and analytics may be anonymized and kept longer for statistical purposes.


9. Your Rights
